Don't you just love rediscovering your old music? I first came across J. Tillman when he was the opener for Phosphorescent at the Cedar Cultural Center back in 2010. His bittersweet melancholy on albums like Year in the Kingdom is perfect for long sleepless nights and certainly deserves more recognition. Tillman's new material under the moniker Father John Misty takes a 180 from his previous releases, but that may not be a bad thing.
